Before you book

Had a reaction to a flu vaccine before?
Speak to your pharmacist first if you've had a severe allergic reaction to a flu vaccine or any of its ingredients in the past.
Taking immune-affecting medication?
Let your pharmacist know if you're taking certain immune checkpoint inhibitors (such as ipilimumab or nivolumab), or if you have primary autoimmune neutropenia.
Have an egg allergy?
Most people with an egg allergy can still safely have the flu vaccine. If you've had anaphylaxis to eggs specifically, mention it to your pharmacist — they may refer you to your GP instead.
