We will ask you some questions about why you are here, your ear health history, what medications you are taking and what hearing difficulties you are having.
Services for Children & Adults
We are able to see children from 3 years old and upwards. You may be asked to fill out a questionnaire to give us further information on your symptoms.
Instant Feedback
Feedback of your results are given instantly. If a referral is required to your GP or an Ear, Nose & Throat specialist, this will done on your behalf. If hearing aids are required then it will be discussed in your feedback session.
Audiology Tests

Otoscopy

An otoscopy is a test whereby the audiologist looks inside each of the ears to check the health of the ear canal and also the eardrum and surrounding area.
Tympanometry

This is a quick test to check how the middle ear works. It allows us to pick up many things, including whether or not you have an ear infection, for example.
Audiometry

This test looks to find out the level at which you detect sound. This is plotted on a graph called an Audiogram. You may also be tested on how you hear words and sentences in noise.

- A full diagnostic hearing assessment that includes checking of the outer ear, middle ear and inner ear. Tests also include a full case history and speech testing and will be done in a sound-proof booth as recommended by the Health Professions council.
Health Insurance Cover for Hearing Tests
Patients with Vhi or Aviva Health/Irish Health insurance can claim back up to €40 for
their hearing assessment.
Digital Hearing Aids
Hearing aids are probably the most well-known treatment for hearing loss. They are usually recommended for people with a sensori-neural hearing loss or for hearing loss that cannot be treated surgically.

Passed your hearing test, but still feel there is a hearing problem? For children and adults with an Auditory processing difficulty this is often the case. Auditory processing is what the brain does with what we hear.
