Common Conditions Service

Accessible care from your local McGreals Pharmacist – from 31st January 2026

From 31st January 2026, McGreals Pharmacies are proud to offer a new Common Conditions Service, giving you faster, easier access to professional healthcare for a range of everyday health concerns.

Thanks to recent changes in legislation and clinical guidelines, our pharmacists are now able to diagnose, treat, and, where appropriate, prescribe medication for a group of common health conditions – all without a GP visit.

This new service helps you manage symptoms earlier and more conveniently right in your community.

 

 

 

How It Works

  1. Book a consultation – either by calling your local McGreals Pharmacy or visiting in person.

  2. Speak with a pharmacist in a private consultation area.

  3. Assessment & treatment plan – the pharmacist will evaluate your symptoms and, if suitable, provide treatment or prescribe medication on-the-spot.

  4. Ongoing support – your pharmacist will explain how to use any medicines and what to expect next.

No GP appointment is needed for these conditions, making this a faster and more convenient way to get the care you need.
