We are delighted to kick off our First month of McGreals Community Spotlight initiative with our May spotlights.
Blessington GAA All Stars Inclusion Group
The All Star programme was launched in 2020. For the majority of the year, with the exception of the most extreme weather, a number of the clubs volunteers run a session akin to
the clubs Academy, specifically catering for children of all ages with additional needs. This session allows the children in the company of their parents and siblings to express and
develop in a safe enclosed environment on the astro. Thanks to the support of the Wicklow County Board and the GAA at national level the club runs a success Cúl Camp each summer
and the children have enjoyed two separate sessions on the Croke Park pitch with children from All Star programmes in other clubs.
The club takes pride that on a Sunday morning, parents travel far and wide from West Wicklow, Kildare and Dublin to take part in All Stars. The smiles on the faces of the parents
and children alike and the accompanying laughter make the journey more than worth while. For more information, contact Karen Richardson 086 892 4292 or Rachel O’Donovan 087 608 8246
