180 people attend free CPR training events at McGreals Pharmacy

McGreals Pharmacy held free CPR & defibrillater training throughout the month of May at store locations in Blessington, Baltinglass, Newbridge, Monasterevin & Portarlington.

Wicklow First Responders Anne Marie Whittle & Paul Byrne trained an overwhelming number of 180 people over the course of the events. In the one hour class attendees were shown the basics of CPR, defibrillator use and the correct procedure to follow in an emergency.

There is a public access defibrillator outside every McGreals Pharmacy with the help of a community phone donation scheme they ran in 2015. Every year since there installation McGreals Pharmacy have hosted free CPR training to ensure as many people possible throughout their communities have the ability to use them.
