Blessington’s Operation Transformation Walk 2017

Operation Transformation National Walk outside McGreals Primary Care Centre in Blessington 2017

A large crowd of almost 300 enthusiastic walkers took part in the Operation Transformation Blessington Walk from McGreals Primary Care Centre on Saturday 7th January. It was the first year that a national Operation Transformation walk took place in Blessington and its success will ensure it will not be the last.

The weather was on our side & walkers of all ages and fitness levels turned up to step it out on the Blessington 5.2km walk. The event was organised by McGreals Pharmacy in conjunction with Wicklow Sports Partnership. Free fizzy vests, water and a selection fruit was available for all participants.

The support of all those who ensured the event was safe and enjoyable including the Garda Siochana and community volunteers was greatly appreciated on the day. Due to popular demand a weekly walking group has now formed in Blessington, meeting on a Monday nights at 7pm outside the Coimin centre in Blessington.
